TicketShop Information
After listening to feedback from the Townsville and arts communities, Townsville City Council’s TicketShop will transition to new hours on Monday 7 April, with the box office counter at Townsville Civic Theatre opening from 9am to 2pm on Mondays and midday to 5pm on Wednesdays, as well as two hours before a performance and closing 30 minutes after a performance starts.
The TicketShop will continue to operate from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday until Friday 4 April. From Monday 7 April the box office counter will transition to these new hours.
Theatregoers will still be able to purchase tickets over the phone from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday by calling 07 4727 9797 and customers will be able to continue buying tickets online 24 hours a day, seven days a week by visiting ticketshop.com.au.
Customers can buy concession tickets online or over the phone and may be asked to provide proof of concession upon entry to the theatres.
TicketShop is Townsville City Council's box office facility for Council events and events held at some Council facilities.
Please note that not all events on this website utilise TicketShop and great care should be taken when purchasing tickets to ensure the provider is secure and reputable. Council takes no responsibility for losses or booking issues with any third-party users of this site.
We are open online 24/7 or during business hours at the Townsville Civic Theatre.

Accessible Facilities and Bookings
Venues offer wheelchair and easy access facilities for patrons and their carers.
To ensure that we can provide you with the best possible service, please call TicketShop on 07 4727 9797 if you require wheelchair access and amenities.
This service is available during business hours.
Concessions
Promoters reserve the right to offer concessions, which may not apply to all shows.
All Companion and Concession cards are issued by the Australian Government.
When booking concession tickets, please check if your concession is available (via the information icon on the booking page). TicketShop advises customers to bring along your Government Benefit or Senior Card along with a photo ID on performance day and may be requested prior to entry.
Internet/Online Bookings
Available 24 hours on ticketshop.com.au.
- Internet bookings for Townsville Civic Theatre and C2 events close 90 minutes after start time.
- Internet bookings for all other venues close two (2) hours prior to the event.
- Tickets may be mailed to your address up to 10 days prior to the event.
- Note on fees applicable to an internet booking: $4.10 per transaction + credit card surcharge of 0.5% of the ticket value.
Mail Bookings
To conveniently book your tickets from home, send the following details to TicketShop, PO Box 1268, Townsville QLD 4810
- Name, address, phone number(s)
- Performance name, date and time
- Number of tickets required
- Include $4.10 transaction fee
- Include 0.5% of the ticket value
Please provide the above information and make all cheques and money orders payable to the Townsville Civic Theatre.
Note: cheques and money order bookings do not incur the credit card surcharge fee.

The TicketShop Box Office is located at the Townsville Civic Theatre – 41 Boundary Street, South Townsville.
Regular opening hours:
- Mondays from 9am to 2pm
- Wednesdays from 12noon to 5pm
Performance day opening hours:
- Opens 2 hours before a performance and closes 30 minutes after the performance commences.
