Townsville City Galleries offers a range of workshops delivered in our Gallery spaces, catering for children, families, teens and adults, that enable community members to experience the arts through workshops and activities.

School Holiday Workshops

These workshops are free, and no bookings are required. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

Little Ceramics

Ceramic bowls8 to 11 April 2025
Session one: 10 to 11am
Session two: 11am to 12pm
Wedgwood Workshop Space, Shop 7, 261-263 Flinders Street

Get inspired by Wedgwood: Artists and Industry, exhibiting at Perc Tucker Regional Gallery, and create your own iconic blue and white bowl using paper clay. Colour your clay and sculpt your bowl, then add decorations in another coloured clay to create your masterpiece.

Comic Collage

Von Stieglitz Meeting Room, Riverway Arts Centre

Visit Behind the Lines at Pinnacles Gallery and get inspired by a range of artworks by political cartoonists. Then head over to the Von Stieglitz Room and try your hand at making your own cartoon comics using collaged images!

Free, drop-in, maximum numbers apply, first come, first serve attendance.

No bookings required.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

All materials are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis.
