Lou Litster Park
General Information
Townsville’s largest free-run dog off-leash area spanning approximately 34 acres. This area has no fencing and is a naturally vegetated creek corridor supported by a pathway network.
Access to the Ross Creek is available for dog swimming *CROCODILE CAUTION IS ADVISED.
Please be mindful of other users of the park as this is a popular location for bicycle riding and creek fishing.
Name History
Named after outstanding sportsman, Lou Litster who scored 290 runs against Allan Kippax’s eleven at Townsville in 1926.
