General Information

Illich Park is a multi-use community sporting and recreational hub in the heart of Aitkenvale.

A $6 million upgrade of the much-loved park was completed in 2020 and included:

  • outdoor fitness equipment
  • basketball half court
  • picnic shelters
  • electric barbecues
  • drinking fountains
  • 32 new parking bays
  • CCTV
  • additional shade, lighting and pathways.

Name History

Named after Alderman Andrew Milan Illich.
