Tree Removal

Council’s Principal Arborist has recently completed a detailed inspection of two trees located next to the Tobruk Memorial Pool, The Strand.

The decision to remove these two palm trees was based on upcoming electrical works required for the new switchboard that will serve the Strand Water Park. Removing the trees is necessary to ensure the safety and success of the project.

Works may involve:

• removal of tree and mulching
• minor concrete works will be undertaken.

Council understands the importance of trees and is committed to reducing the impact of their removal through proper placement and replanting.

• construction machinery and vehicle movement
• increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
• temporary traffic changes, including lane and or on-street parking closures, minor traffic delays and reduced speed limits.
