Tree Removal Maintenance

Council’s Principal Arborist has recently completed a detailed inspection of a group of trees on the nature strip of Oonoonba Road between Lakeside Drive and River Boulevard in Idalia.

The decision to remove these trees was based on the certified arborist’s report, which confirms that they are in poor health due to recent weather events, making them a risk to surrounding infrastructure and community safety.

Additionally, maintenance will be performed on the vegetation along the fence line to restore the hedge to its original height, addressing ongoing maintenance concerns.

Works will include the removal of the trees and mulching. Suitable replacement trees will be planted near the removed trees to
replace the equivalent lost canopy cover.
