Electrical Works

What works are coming up?
Council is planning to undertake electrical maintenance works at the Strand Water Park, which includes installing a new electrical switchboard along with other required infrastructure and maintenance updates.

The Strand Water Park, which is around 25 years old, has an electrical switchboard that is in poor condition and outdated. This switchboard powers the water park along with surrounding BBQs and lights, and needs to be replaced to provide efficient, sustainable service to the facility.

What will the works include?

  • installation of a new energy-efficient electrical switchboard to provide direct sustainable service to the water park
  • associated infrastructure and maintenance updates.

What does this mean for me?
If you live in or are travelling through the area, you may experience:

  • temporary closure of the Strand Water Park throughout works
  • construction machinery and vehicle movement
  • increased levels of dust, noise, and vibrations
