Townsville City Council is committed to continuously maintaining and improving the Townsville City Plan.
Package 1 Major Amendment
The purpose of Package 1 Major Amendment is to streamline the development assessment process and make it easier to deliver supported development in appropriate locations. It is supported by the following key objectives:
- Aligning the planning scheme with prevailing planning instruments and legislation;
- Supporting development opportunities that contribute to a strong economy; and
- Providing maintenance and administrative improvements to the planning scheme.
