Public Transport Services
Bus
Kinetic is the trusted transport partner of the Queensland Government, operating 13 bus routes in the Townsville area.
These services connect people with Townsville city, surrounding suburbs, key shopping centres, James Cook University and Queensland Country Bank Stadium including charter services.

Ferry
SeaLink North Queensland conducts up to 17 daily return services to Nelly Bay Terminal on Magnetic Island, as well as a service to Palm Island 6 times per week for the Indigenous community.

Rail
Townsville does not have a suburban rail service. However, Queensland Rail Travel does encompass Townsville in its regional travel schedules.
