Commercial Vehicle Permit
A vehicle may be issued with a commercial vehicle identification label if the vehicle is used for carrying on a business that requires the regular use of loading zones.
This application is for approval of a motor vehicle as a commercial vehicle. Information about application fees is in the Regulatory

Exceed Time-Limited Parking Permit
This parking permit allows tradespersons to park continuously in 1P (1-hour), 2P (2-hour) and 4P (4-hour) parking bays for longer than the advertised maximum time.

Disability Parking Permit
Townsville City Council do not issue Disability Parking Permits, although we recognise the use of any that have been issued by a state or national authority.
A valid displayed Disability Parking Permit entitles the permit holder to free unlimited parking in any disabled parking bay or zone and in any metered and or timed parking area where the time permitted is half an hour or greater.
A Disability Parking Permit holder may not park in any loading zones, no stopping zones, bus zones or any 5 or 15 minute signed parking areas for longer than the time specified on the traffic signage applicable to the parking space.

Special Parking Permit
We will issue Special Parking Permits when there is a clear need for additional vehicles to be parked on-street, or for vehicles to be parked longer than an allowed time within a restricted area. For example, if you have a carer who assists you, or you receive necessary assistance from a health or community organisation, a permit may be considered. Permits may be issued in some situations for volunteer or charity-based circumstances. Special Parking Permit applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Having more than one vehicle in a household is not a basis for obtaining a Special Parking Permit.
The conditions of the Special Parking Permit will be discussed with you and will be dependent your situation as assessed by Council.
