Magnetic Island to conserve water

The Townsville Local Disaster Management Group is advising residents on Magnetic Island must conserve water following a power outage and damage to water mains that are affecting water services.
The outage has been caused by current weather.
Water remains safe to drink, however, residents are encouraged to use water only for essential purposes and conserve water where possible.
Council will continue to work with our energy partners to ensure water supply on Magnetic Island is restored as soon as possible.
