Council builds new planning and development website

Townsville City Council is unveiling its new one-stop-shop for builders and developers to find everything they need to know about planning and development in Townsville.
The new Planning and Development website includes information on how to prepare and submit an application, Council’s grants and incentives and heritage properties, as well as factsheets, forms, maps, and more.
Acting Mayor Paul Jacob said the new website was designed to be as user-friendly as possible.
“We’re excited to be launching this new website to provide builders and developers all the Council tools they need in one place,” Cr Jacob said.
“The website has information and tools for the start, middle and end of a development journey, as well as information about same day approvals, outdoor dining, and advertising signage.
“Townsville is a growing city, and with that comes a need for new development. This new website will streamline the process for finding information and submitting forms and applications, allowing builders and developers access to the information they need at the time they need it.”
