Enjoy spooky family fun at Riverway Movie Nights
Date published: 23 August 2024
Enjoy a free film under the stars at Friday’s Riverway Movie Nights’ screening of The Canterville Ghost.
The animated family film, based on Oscar Wilde’s short story of the same name, features the voices of Stephen Fry, Hugh Laurie, Freddie Highmore and Imelda Staunton.
Councillor Vera Dirou said Riverway Movie Nights was a great way for families to have a fun night out on a budget.
“Riverway Movie Nights are free for anyone to enjoy, all you have to do is bring along a picnic blanket and some snacks,” Cr Dirou said.
“This month’s movie is about a family that moves into Canterville Chase that has been haunted by a ghost, with lots of adventures and laughs along the way.
“Riverway Movie Nights kicks off at Riverway Oval from 6.30pm this Friday. A food truck and coffee van will be available for anyone wanting to grab a bite or a cuppa.”
