ACAC puppies, dogs search for new paw-rents
Date published: 5 October 2023
Seven dogs and puppies have arrived at the Animal Care and Adoption Centre and are now looking for the paw-fect place to call their furever home.
Each dog and puppy has had health checks and behavioural assessments completed before being placed up for adoption. All dog and puppy adoptions are now $150 until the end of October.
“In a perfect world the Animal Care and Adoption Centre would be completely empty. Council is proud to deliver this service for these defenceless animals, but we need residents to do their part to keep their pets safe,” Cr Molachino said.
“The puppies and dogs at the ACAC haven’t chosen to be there, they just want to be at home with a loving family.
“As a dog owner myself I know how much joy pets can bring to a household, whether you’re single or in a couple, or if you have a big family with kids like I do. They’re great for companionship at home as well as getting you out and about in your neighbourhood during daily walks.
“There are puppies like the three-legged pup Basil at the ACAC who are looking for a safe place to call their home for the rest of their lives.
“If you’re thinking about adding a pet to your family I’d strongly encourage you to jump onto Council’s website to see if the right puppy or dog is available for you.”
