Sign up now to exhibit at Get Active Expo

Sporting, recreation, health and fitness clubs and organisations can now sign up to be part of Townsville City Council’s Get Active Expo at the Townsville Sports Precinct.
This is the first time the expo has been held at the world-class sports precinct at North Ward, with Council expecting thousands of visitors to the event.
Exhibitors have until 11:59pm on 20 June 2022 to register for Get Active Expo, which is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever before.
Community Health, Environment and Sustainability Committee chairperson Maurie Soars said exhibitors were what made the expo one of the city’s best events each year.
“We want to see a range of exciting sports and activities on offer for visitors, so if you’re part of a sporting club or a fitness group, you should sign up now to make the most of the Get Active Expo,” Cr Soars said.
“This is a great way to recruit more members or to invite novices to try out your brand of fitness while also having a great day out with Townsville locals.”
Cr Soars said being active during all stages of life was important.
“It’s never too early or too late to get involved in a physical activity – it doesn’t have to be a competitive sport either, there are so many options out there,” he said.
“Everyone from little kids to seniors can reap the benefits of regular physical activity. These benefits include improved fitness, better mental health and an easy way to make friends with common interests.”
The Get Active Expo will take over Townsville Sports Precinct at North Ward on 31 July 2022.
