Furry felines and playful puppies are now on sale for Townsville locals looking to give a pet their new furever home.
Councils Animal Care and Adoption Centre has a number of animals who are microchipped, desexed, vaccinated and ready to meet their new family. These animals are now on sale for $49.50 for cats, $90 for kittens, $132.50 for dogs and $180 for puppies.
Community Health, Safety and Environmental Sustainability Committee chairperson Maurie Soars said each animal at the centre deserved a loving home.
“The cats and dogs that are at the Animal Care and Adoption Centre haven’t chosen to be there – like any other pet they want to be loved and to love in return,” Cr Soars said.
“We have puppies, adult dogs, kittens and adult cats up for adoption at the moment, with a range of personalities that are sure to suit a variety of homes across Townsville.
“Pets are wonderful companions who can brighten up any household whether you’re single, a couple, or a family with children.
“To see if there’s an animal that will suit your home, visit the Animal Care and Adoption Centre’s webpage and check out each animal’s profile. The profiles will tell you about their breed, their age and some of their personality traits.
“If you find an animal who you think will fit in with your family, call the Animal Care and Adoption Centre to arrange an appointment.”
The sale on pets at the Animal Care and Adoption Centre runs until 2 April.
