Let Council know how you use Anzac Memorial Park

Townsville City Council is preparing for future works within Anzac Memorial Park by asking residents to have their say on the renewal of the open space.
The playground is due for renewal shortly and Council is conducting a survey to identify how this part of the park is used by the community.
Infrastructure Services Committee chairperson Kurt Rehbein said it was important for Council to hear from people who use the park.
“Council manages more than 320 parks across the city and is continually working on renewing parks to ensure they remain beneficial to the community,” Cr Rehbein said.
“Anzac Memorial Park services a wide range of community activities like memorials, events and recreation and it is extremely popular with families, locals who are into fitness, and visitors to the city. That’s why we want to know how you use the park and which upgrades you’d like to see incorporated in the park’s future renewal.
“One of the best parts of living in Townsville is our healthy lifestyle that incorporates lots of time outdoors. Council wants to continue to enhance that active and healthy lifestyle through renewing our parks regularly.”
