Artists, venues urged to get NAFA registrations in
Date published: 17 January 2022
Artists, performers and venue owners still have five weeks to register for the North Australian Festival of Arts (NAFA) Fringe Festival.
NAFA will run from Friday 10 June to Sunday 10 July 2022.
Community and Cultural Development Committee chairperson Ann-Maree Greaney said artists from Townsville and across the country had an equal opportunity to be part of the festival this year.
“The NAFA Fringe Festival is a showcase of incredible talent from North Queensland alongside some of the country’s most revered comedians, musicians, dancers, and other awe-inspiring artists,” Cr Greaney said.
“Registrations for the NAFA Fringe Festival are still open until the end of February, but I would recommend getting in early to make sure your registration hits all of the requirements.
“These registrations are for artists and performers, but also for venue owners who have spaces which are appropriate for hosting exhibitions, comedy nights, musical acts and more.”
