Keep up with closures on Council website

Make sure you’re across which Council services are taking a break during the Christmas and New Year period ahead of the holidays by checking Council’s website.
Acting Mayor Mark Molachino said Council would continue to provide essential services during the festive season, with a number of entertainment and leisure services closing on select days between Christmas and New Year’s Day.
“Like everyone, all of us here at Council are looking forward to the holidays to spend time with family and friends,” Cr Molachino said.
“From Friday December 23 there will be a number of services that close for Christmas and New Year’s Day, including our libraries and galleries. However essential services like waste collection will continue throughout this period, including on Christmas Day.
“We’ll also have our free public swimming pools at Riverway and the Strand Rockpool and Strand Waterpark open in line with the normal summer schedule so you can stay cool in the warm weather.
“No matter what you’re doing during the festive season, have fun and stay safe – we’ll see you in the new year.”
