Date published: 10 November 2021
Get your family and friends together to say “we did it, we did it, hooray” after heading to this week’s free screening of Dora and the Lost City of Gold.
Fill your backpack with a picnic and follow your map all the way to Riverway to enjoy the family-friendly film under the stars this Friday night.
Dora and the Lost City of Gold was filmed in Queensland and follows a teenage Dora The Explorer as she embarks on a quest to save her parents, solve the mystery behind the lost Incan civilisation, and make it through high school.
Community and Cultural Development Committee chairperson Ann-Maree Greaney said it was great to be able to screen a film that was shot in Queensland.
“Not only is this a fun movie for the whole family to enjoy, but it also features some of the most spectacular scenery from right here in Queensland,” Cr Greaney said.
“Riverway Movie Nights is a great way to get the whole family together for a low-cost activity on Friday night. All you have to do is pack a blanket and a picnic or pick up dinner on the way in and then sit back to enjoy the show.”
Dora and the Lost City of Gold starts at 6:30pm this Friday night at Riverway Oval.
Please note this session has been cancelled due to weather.
