Apps the quickest way to report problems
Townsville City Council is reminding residents that they can report issues around town with the user-friendly iCouncil and Snap Send Solve apps on their phones.
Residents can report problems such as potholes, dumped rubbish and graffiti through the app.
Acting Mayor Mark Molachino said these apps are one of the easiest ways to report issues to Council.
“These apps have been operational for some time, but it is always good to remind the community about the channels that they can use to contact us,” Cr Molachino said.
“We’ve had a few weeks of constant wet weather now, and there is likely to be potholes and gardens that have been washed out that are easily reportable through these apps.
“Being able to send the photo along with the request is valuable for our staff that respond to these customer requests, so they know exactly what needs to be fixed.”
Cr Molachino said the app also allows for Council staff to respond to these enquiries.
“If it is work that is already on our construction and maintenance schedule, we can easily let residents know this straight away,” he said.
“Our crews have been working right through the holiday season to provide services to the community, and we want to know about anything that needs to be fixed.”
The quickest and easiest way to do this for mobile phone users is by using the iCouncil app on your iPhone, or the Snap Send Solve app on Android.
To report a problem online without the app, residents and visitors can visit our Report a Problem web page.
