Maintenance of area used for roadside memorial

Townsville City Council advises that it will conduct routine grass maintenance on Ross River Road outside Weir State School, including the area used for a memorial to Jennifer Board.
Council respects the importance of this memorial and a Council crew will respectfully remove all memorial items and dispose of withered floral tributes before undertaking the maintenance. Memorial items and still-healthy flowers will then be placed back.
Council thanks the community for their understanding.
