City-wide liveability survey live now
Date published: 14 September 2020
The liveability survey is back again, this time for the entire city to complete and see what has changed since COVID-19 began.
Townsville Mayor Jenny Hill said it is important to keep on top of the community priorities and that a city-wide survey would help do this.
“The survey results for the recently conducted Gulliver survey showed that the priorities of our residents had shifted since COVID-19 began, and the city-wide survey will show us if this trend is the same across the rest of Townsville,” Cr Hill said.
“We’re hopeful to get at least 5,000 responses to the survey as the more data we have, the better we can prioritise projects.
“We’re also encouraging young people to complete the survey because they are the future of our city and having this data will be critical as we continue to recover from the impacts of COVID-19.”
The Gulliver Liveability Survey showed that residents ranked being close to nature, access to quality public spaces and being able to walk to shops as the top priorities.
The survey is open until 11 October and participants will go in the running to win one of ten $100 prizes.
