Trick or treat yourself at Council’s free Halloween movie night
Date published: 29 October 2020
You don’t have to wait for the witching hour to get your spook on for Halloween this Saturday with Townsville City Council’s free family-friendly Halloween movie night.
Two spooky family favourites, Casper and The Addams Family, will be shown as part of NAFA COVID Safe to help your family celebrate the most chilling night of the year.
Community and Cultural Development Committee chairperson Ann-Maree Greaney said this was the perfect chance to get the family together to enjoy Halloween movies on the big screen.
“Bring a blanket, pack a picnic and enjoy our two Halloween movies, Casper and The Addams Family,” Cr Greaney said.
“Council will have food and popcorn vendors at Peggy Banfield Park, but I’d encourage everyone to bring their own picnic and a blanket to get comfy on.
“There is capacity for about 700 people, so head down early to avoid disappointment. Don’t forget that you have to register on the way in so that COVID contact tracing is met, which will help keep our community safe.”
Casper starts at 6:30pm and will run until 8:20pm, while The Addams Family will kick off at 8:30pm and run until 9:55pm.
