Apps are easy way to report problems to Council

Townsville City Council is reminding residents that there’s an easy way to have problems spotted around town fixed with the iCouncil and Snap Send Solve apps.

Anyone with the app can quickly report problems like dumped rubbish or graffiti straight to Council.

Townsville Mayor Jenny Hill said Council had been receiving feedback from community through these channels for some time but acknowledged some people were still not aware how easy it could be to notify Council about things that needed attention.

“You can spot Council crews right across the city any day of the year. Our crews are out there to improve our community, so if there’s something that needs to be fixed, we want to know about it,” Cr Hill.

“Often we find that the notifications are about matters already in our construction and maintenance schedule.

“If we don’t already have planned works to address these matters, receiving notifications can help add them to our schedule.”

The quickest and easiest way to do this for mobile phone users is by using the iCouncil app on your iPhone, or the Snap Send Solve app on Android.

“All you have to do is snap a quick picture and upload it through the app for Council to address,” Cr Hill said.

To report a problem online without the app, residents and visitors can head to our Report a Problem page.
