Last chance to sign up for this year’s Northern Fringe Festival

Date published: 27 February 2020

Townsville City Council is calling on artists and venues to get their registrations for the Northern Fringe Festival in by this Saturday.

The festival debuted in 2019 to major success and received widespread acclaim from the World Fringe Congress in Adelaide last week and is returning for a second year as part of the North Australian Festival of Arts.

Council is not just after artists or performers, but is also asking venues to register to be part of Northern Fringe Festival.

Fringe is an open-access event that is spread across Townsville, which lets the community take control of the content they would like to see.

Council is encouraging anyone with big ideas to sign up. Last year’s Fringe included cabarets, comedy shows, music concerts and theatre performances, as well as a wide variety of venues from across the city.

It is essential for anyone wanting to get involved to sign up by Saturday. There is a registration guide on the Fringe website to make sure potential acts or venues don’t put a foot wrong while registering.

To register for the Northern Fringe Festival or get in touch with the team, head to fringe-tsv.com.au.

Registrations close this Saturday, 29 February.
