Council launches social impact survey to check in on residents

Townsville City Council has launched a survey to track the social impact that COVID-19 is having on the community.
The 5-minute survey will provide Council with a better understanding of the ways the pandemic has impacted residents and what they need moving forward.
Townsville Local Disaster Management Group Chair and Mayor Jenny Hill said the data from this survey would be crucial for Council to plan for post pandemic.
“COVID-19 has brought unique challenges to not only Townsville, but to the whole country, and this survey will help us map out the sentiment of the community and use this data to drive our response,” Cr Hill said.
“This is important because Council needs to be able to best deploy resources into the areas we are seeing the most need.
“It’s also important for us to have the community feedback on ongoing projects and initiatives so we can see if we’re moving in the right direction or if something else is needed to pick our community back up.”
