No tricks this Howl-o-ween, treat yourself to 50% off puppies and dogs

Have a scary good time adopting a new pet when Townsville City Council’s Animal Care and Adoption Centre kicks off Howl-O-Ween this weekend.
The Centre will be offering an un-boo-lievable 50 per cent discount off all dogs and puppies looking for their fur-ever homes until 2 November.
Councillor Ann-Maree Greaney said there were more than 30 dogs and puppies ready for adoption.
“We have all of these beautiful puppies and dogs who just want to be part of a family,” Cr Greaney said.
“These animals have already been de-sexed, wormed, microchipped and have had their first vaccination so they’re ready to head straight home.”
Cr Greaney said families who already had a pet were sometimes nervous about adding a second animal to their family.
“All of the dogs and puppies are temperament assessed by the Adoption Centre staff to make sure they’re suitable to be rehomed,” she said.
“But if you’re still feeling unsure, bring your pet along to the Adoption Centre so they can have a meet and greet.”
All animals from the Animal Care and Adoption Centre are registered.
The Animal Care and Adoption Centre is open from 9.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday, and 9.30am to 2pm on Saturdays.
