Team Rubicon Australia thanked for their recovery efforts

Townsville Mayor Jenny Hill and Local Recovery and Resilience Chair Cr Les Walker has thanked Team Rubicon Australia (TRA) for their recovery efforts.
TRA moved to stand down last week after providing extensive assistance to Townsville residents following the unprecedented flood.
Cr Walker said Team Rubicon had played a vital role in helping the community get back on its feet.
“Team Rubicon has been cleaning, gutting houses, dumping furniture and providing much needed support to residents that needed the extra hand,” Cr Walker said.
“I would like to thank them wholeheartedly for their assistance over the past few weeks – your efforts have been appreciated by the entire community.”
Cr Hill said it has been amazing to see so many organisations working together to help the city recover.
“Team Rubicon is one of the many organisations that have given so much to the community during what has been a difficult time for everyone,” Cr Hill said.
“TRA works to help veterans adapt to ordinary life, but what they have done for Townsville is help ordinary people that have faced what has been one of our worst disasters.
“I cannot thank TRA, our emergency services, the Australian Defence Force and other community organisations enough for their help.”
