Disaster response call centre now open

The Townsville Local Disaster Management Group has activated the disaster response call centre for any information relating to the current weather event.
Residents can call 1800 738 541 until 7pm today and will re-open at 7am tomorrow morning.
The Council Customer Service number 13 48 10 is still operating 24 hours a day.
Townsville Mayor Jenny Hill reminded residents to visit Council’s Emergency Management Dashboard for up-to-date information about the weather event, road closures and flood warnings.
“We want everyone to stay safe in the wet – and, if it’s flooded, forget it,” Cr Hill said.
