Townsville beaches closed

Townsville City Council has closed some beaches in the city due to potential contamination detected during the king tide.
Beaches currently closed for resampling are:
- The Strand (Tobruk pool end)
- Pallarenda
- Dog Beach (at the end of Benwell Road, South Townsville)
These beaches will remain closed until they have been retested and are safe for public use.
