Crucial supplies stolen from Toomulla overnight

Diesel supplies crucial for the backup generator of the Toomulla sewerage and water pumps station have been stolen overnight.
If the mains power drops out, the Toomulla community would have no water or sewerage.
Townsville Local Disaster Management Group Chair Mayor Jenny Hill is encouraging locals to provide Police with any information that may help the investigation.
“This is looting during a natural disaster and it is the lowest of the low,” Cr Hill said.
“Whoever stole these fuel supplies are absolute scumbags.
“Our whole community has banded together during this unprecedented flood – except for these dropkicks.
“Anyone who has any information that could help identify the culprits should contact Police.”
