Road closure at Paluma

Townsville City Council crews have closed Mount Spec Forestry Road to ensure community safety.

An inspection identified cracks in the road surface after the unprecedented monsoon.

Council crews will complete further assessments to determine the extent of the damage and the most appropriate repairs.

Mount Spec Forestry Road – also known as Paluma Dam Road – is used to access the camping grounds at Paluma Dam.
