Statement from the Mayor of Townsville

Townsville City Council welcomes the Prime Minister’s announcement that the Australian Government will invest $75 million towards the Townsville Port Expansion Project.
The expansion project will deliver real jobs and increase the competitiveness of the Townsville Port.
I welcome the bipartisan support for the Townsville Port Expansion, and that the Prime Minister has matched the funding commitment made earlier this year by Opposition Leader Bill Shorten.
