Townsville Deputy Mayor Cr Les Walker said the entire length of Dingo Park Road will be regraded to ensure the road surface is in an acceptable condition to withstand a weather event should it occur.
“Council’s rural roads undergo annual regrading as part of their ongoing maintenance,” Cr Walker said.
“We are currently re-profiling this unsealed road to improve the surface quality to ensure motorists can travel along the road safely.
“This will fix any pot holes and corrugations on the surface as well as reducing dust on the road.”
Cr Walker said the works are expected to be complete by the end of November.
“The grading works are expected to take around 3 weeks and are due to be finished by November – in time for the wet season,” Cr Walker said.
“These rural road maintenance works are essential projects to improve safety and we appreciate everyone’s patience while these works are being undertaken.”
