Bluewater Evacuation Centre closed

The Bluewater Community Centre has been closed as an evacuation centre.
Townsville City Council was notified that no residents had sought assistance at the Centre, and advice from the Bureau of Meteorology is that rain is expected to ease in the Bluewater area.
Mayor Jenny Hill thanked the volunteers at the Community Centre who gave up their time to open up the facility to make sure residents had a safe place to go.
