Ride to Riverway a wheel-y good time

A Townsville family favourite – the Ride to Riverway is back this Sunday as part of Council’s 30 Ways in 30 Days initiative.
The event features Extreme Bicycle Stunt Man, Borys Zagrocki performing demonstrations of his stunts and an array of free stalls and activities for families to enjoy.
Councillor Maurie Soars said the Ride to Riverway is a great way for the whole family to get active.
“Kids love to ride bikes and scooters, and this is a good way for the whole family to get out of the house on the weekend and do a bit of exercise,” Cr Soars said.
“The event starts early to beat the midday heat, and Riverway is a fantastic location to enjoy a day out.
“There are some great stalls that will be on display and it would be great to see a lot of families at Riverway on Sunday checking the stalls out and having a good morning.”
Registered bike riders will meet at Sheriff Park at either 7.30 or 8.30am and scooter riders will meet at the Weir School carpark at 8.30am.
For anyone that hasn’t registered, they are invited to make their own way down to Riverway with their bikes or scooters and join in the fun and visit the stalls set up on the day.
