Re-signing of Paul Green welcome news

Townsville Mayor Jenny Hill today welcomed news that Paul Green has re-signed to coach the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys for another three seasons.
Cr Hill said she couldn’t be more thrilled to have Paul Green remaining at the helm of the team.
“North Queensland is definitely rugby league heartland and the Cowboys have really grown as a team with Paul Green leading them,” Cr Hill said.
“We’ve won our first premiership under his guidance and have qualified for the finals every year of his tenure as coach – hopefully we see more in the coming seasons.
“I’d really like to congratulate Paul on his achievements and on resigning with the Cowboys; I know that we will see some great things from the team.”
Cr Hill said it is great that Paul will be leading the Cowboys as they move into their new home stadium from 2020.
“The North Queensland Stadium is expected to be finished in time for the 2020 rugby league season and it’s great that the coach who led the Cowboys in their first premiership will also be the coach during their first game in the new stadium,” Cr Hill said.
