NQ Cowboys colours to fly high above the city

The colours of the NQ Cowboys will fly proudly at the Douglas roundabout to stir the passion of home town supporters ahead of Saturday night’s clash against the Parramatta Eels at ANZ Stadium.
To add to the footy finals fever in the city the Townsville City Council will raise a giant Cowboys flag at the roundabout tomorrow morning.
Deputy Mayor Cr Les Walker said flying the flag in the middle of the city’s largest roundabout would catch the attention of thousands of motorists ahead of the big game.
“Nothing compares to the excitement of the Cowboys in a finals match, and we want to show our players that the city is right behind them,” Cr Walker said.
“Raising the flag adds to the atmosphere and the buzz in the city in the countdown to the game.”
Council will raise the flag at 5.30am tomorrow.
