Date published: 31 May 2016
The stage adaptation of Andy Griffiths’ and Terry Denton’s bestseller The 52-Storey Treehouse will take Townsville kids through a whirlwind adventure when it comes to the Townsville Civic Theatre in June.
The best-selling, award-winning series of books has inspired children across Australia to let their imaginations run wild.
The 52-Storey Treehouse was Australia’s fasting selling book ever on release and the stage adaptation has been a huge success throughout the country since its premiere at the Sydney Opera House.
The 52-Storey Treehouse takes place on a very special day. It’s Andy’s birthday, but Terry has forgotten! To make matters worse Mr Big Nose has mysteriously disappeared, and to top it off, Jill has fallen into a deep sleep and they just can’t wake her up.
Andy and Terry set off on a crazy adventure tackling a world of startling obstacles including a hungry caterpillar, an angry vegetable kingdom and a 100 year ninja-snail epic voyage.
Will they solve the mysteries and survive the dangers that test even their ingenuity?
The 52-Storey Treehouse will have four performances on their stop in Townsville - 6 June at 12:30pm and 6:30pm and 7 June at 10:30am and 12:30pm.
Tickets are $15 each or $12 for groups of 10+.
