Date published: 29 January 2016
The city’s newest residents will be officially welcomed this Sunday at the first Welcoming Babies Ceremony of 2016.
Mayor Jenny Hill will present parents with a welcoming certificate, a plant and a gift bag as part of the ceremony which has become a community tradition.
Registrations have closed, with 143 babies and their families expected to attend.
There are two sessions on the day, at 9am and 10.45am.
“This is a beautiful way for family and friends to formally welcome the newest edition to their family and introduce them to the community,” Cr Hill said.
