The provision and upkeep of infrastructure and associated services is at the heart of council’s long term commitment for the Townsville community. The protection and development of the city’s infrastructure is a core goal that council aims to achieve through diligent, efficient and productive use of resources.

This Asset Management Summary Plan outlines how council will deliver on this commitment.  This summary details management and strategic development goals for our major infrastructure including water, waste, wastewater, transport, stormwater, buildings and parks for the 2010/11 – 2019/20 timeframe.

This is an exciting time for our city and we look forward to the ongoing successes and challenges the next ten years brings in terms of growing our city while continuing to be the economic leader in the region.
