Raising children isn't always as easy as it could be. The Early Years Information Service can help you with advice and answers to those day-to-day questions that pop up.
Drop in anytime and the friendly staff will be able to provide the advice and assistance you need. Mothers, fathers, grandparents, and carers are all welcome to access this free service.
What's on Offer
- FREE information, support, and referral services for anyone who cares for children – mothers, fathers, or grandparents.
- Access to information about early years and parenting services available in Townsville.
- Parks, playgroups, child care centres – we know where they are and can help you locate the best for your child.
- Hints and tips on feeding, sleeping, behaviour, and activities – if we don't know, we will find the answer.
Child Health Nurse
A child health nurse is available every Tuesday from 9am to 2pm and Saturday from 9am to 12pm to weigh, measure and answer any questions about children's health. No appointment required.
Messy Play Program
Messy Play offers an assortment of messy play activities in age appropriate groups. Call for session times. Bookings are essential.
The Birth Buddies group meets at the Early Years information Service on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7pm. Contact the service for more information.
